Bengaluru-based voice AI startup Arrowhead has raised $3 million (₹27 crore) in a Seed funding round led by Stellaris Venture Partners, with participation from several prominent fintech investors.
This marks the company’s first institutional fundraise, following an earlier pre-seed round of $320,000. The fresh capital will be used to expand deployment of its Voice AI Agents across India’s banking and NBFC sectors.
Strong Investor Backing
The round attracted notable names from the fintech ecosystem, including Kunal Shah, Founder of CRED, along with Madhusudanan R, Co-founder of M2P Fintech, and senior executives from Turtlemint and Kissht.
The investor mix signals confidence in Arrowhead’s core proposition: automation in financial services needs to move beyond basic chatbots to more advanced, revenue-generating AI systems.
Solving a Costly Industry Problem
Founded in 2022 by Devyani Gupta and Vengadanathan Srinivasan, Arrowhead is focused on addressing inefficiencies in traditional call centers used by banks and financial institutions.
Human-led call centers often face high costs, inconsistent performance, and significant attrition. Arrowhead’s Voice AI Agents are designed to overcome these limitations by engaging customers in natural conversations, handling objections, and even closing sales.
The platform is tailored for financial products such as loans, insurance, and credit cards—areas where conversion-driven conversations are critical.
From Support to Sales
Unlike traditional AI tools that focus on customer support, Arrowhead is positioning its technology as a revenue engine. Its agents are built not just to answer queries, but to actively convert leads into paying customers.
With operations largely based in India, the startup is targeting the country’s large BFSI market, while also maintaining a presence in the United States.
Why It Matters
The shift from human call centers to AI-driven sales agents could significantly alter cost structures in the financial sector. As banks and NBFCs look to reduce customer acquisition costs (CAC) and improve efficiency, scalable AI solutions like Arrowhead’s may become increasingly attractive.
Early backing from Stellaris and seasoned fintech founders suggests growing confidence in Voice AI as a viable alternative to traditional sales operations.
