Preventive healthcare startup CENT has launched its first flagship clinical prevention centre in Bengaluru, marking a significant step toward structured, AI-driven early disease detection in India.
Founded by Shashank ND, known for building healthtech platform Practo, the company is positioning this facility as a dedicated hub for identifying serious health conditions in individuals who may not yet show symptoms.
A new model for preventive healthcare
Spread across 7,000 square feet, the Bengaluru centre is designed as a single-purpose prevention facility. Unlike traditional diagnostic labs or hospital check-up units, which often operate through fragmented testing systems, CENT aims to offer an integrated and standardised approach.
At the core of the model is the company’s proprietary CCNM Protocol, which focuses on screening for cardiac, cancer, neurological, and metabolic conditions through a unified workflow.
AI-driven diagnostics and rapid reporting
The screening process combines multiple advanced diagnostics, including whole-body MRI, ultra-low-dose cardiac CT, DEXA scans, ECG, and over 120 blood and biomarker tests.
These inputs are consolidated into an AI-powered “Tru10” organ-level risk report, followed by a physician consultation. The entire process is designed to be completed within approximately two hours.
The company states that its system operates with an early detection index of 83%, positioning it among advanced screening frameworks globally, though broader industry comparisons remain evolving.
Strategic collaboration and scalability
CENT has partnered with Siemens Healthineers to support imaging and diagnostic capabilities across its network. The collaboration focuses not only on equipment but also on co-developing imaging protocols and improving efficiency through software integration.
The company expects this partnership to help reduce costs over time, addressing a key barrier in scaling preventive healthcare services.
Expansion plans
Following the Bengaluru launch, CENT plans to expand to Mumbai and Delhi-NCR, with a broader goal of entering 15 cities across India. The long-term vision includes enabling 10 million scans and contributing to one million lives saved by 2035.
Growing demand for preventive care
Preventive healthcare is gaining traction in India due to rising cases of non-communicable diseases and increasing awareness around early diagnosis. However, the sector still faces challenges such as fragmented services and lack of standardisation.
CENT’s hub-based model aims to address these gaps by offering a structured and technology-driven solution.
According to the company, its existing partner-led network has already conducted over 2,000 scans across seven cities in early FY26. Of these, 26% showed clinically significant findings, while 3% required immediate medical attention—primarily among individuals without visible symptoms.
